Pendleton County, Kentucky
With a small amount of Ohio river frontage on its eastern border, Pendelton county extends westward below bracken, Campbell and Kenton counties to its north, Grant County to its west and Harrison county to its south. Pendleton county was established in 1798 it was named by Virgianians who settled near Falmouth and named after the Honorable Edmund Pendleton. Individual communities with Pendleton County include Falmouth, its largest populated area and the county seat, Butler, Demossville, Peach Grove, Callensville, Goforth, Grassy Creek, Boston Station, Bachelor's Rest, McKenneysburg, Short Creek, Concord, Caddo, Flour Creek, Blanket Creek, Roanoke, Oakland, Turner Ridge, Morgan, Catawba, Richland, Pleasant Hill, Shoemakertown and others. Many of these communities at one time had schools, general stores, tobacco warehouses and other businesses.
Known mostly for its rural country farms and the two rivers which pass through, Pendleton county offers ownership opportunities for the sportsman, the farmer, the horseman or anyone interested in a more rural way of life.
